It's loads of fun for kids to dash through the neighborhood in costume collecting candy, but once they get it all home, many of us realized that's a lot of candy! If your kids collect more candy than they will (or should) ever eat, here's a great way to do something special for troops overseas and save your kids' teeth and tummies!
Check the Halloween Candy Buy-Back website for participating dentists (enter your zip code at the top of the page) and then drop off the loot for a little cash (or a prize, depending on the dentist's program or if they have other local businesses participating) and a lot of warm fuzzies for sharing with our troops! Troops will receive a small amount of candy per person in a care package through Operation Gratitude that will remind them of home.
